Supporting Sounds is a non-profit organization founded by Eva Ngu, a classically trained pianist and current student at the St. John’s School in Houston, Texas. She started this program to create opportunities for young musicians to perform at healthcare facilities, shelters, and nursing homes while providing entertainment for those living there.
Like most young musicians, Eva enjoys performing in front of judges or family, so naturally, she was eager to share her talent for a great cause. However, after contacting multiple facilities, she realized that it took work to coordinate her busy schedule and those of the facilities. Hence, she created a system to facilitate communication and programs between the musicians and the facilities.
With the formation of Supporting Sounds, Eva hopes to create an environment where young musicians can showcase their talent regardless of their level or experience while providing much-needed comfort to those in need. With this in mind, we hope you join us today to help us fulfill our mission of providing a space where we can give back hope and music to our community one note at a time.
